Integrative, cognitive-analytic, psychoanalytic
In my work, I consider a safe and confidential relationship to be of primary importance — one where the client feels safe to bring up anything on their mind. In our collaboration, I am active, present, structuring, and quick to grasp things. Others have described how important it was for their change process that the therapist was genuine, relaxed, and professional. Mutual respect is important to me.
Most often we talk, listen, meet each other, and occasionally moments arise that open up new possibilities — if one dares to seize them.
There is great capacity for change within us. Therapy often begins when, for one reason or another, we are stuck in a conversation with ourselves (e.g., a critical/harsh relationship with oneself), with others (e.g., fear that others hate me/think I'm weird), or with the world (e.g., studies aren't going well or motivating; climate crisis feels hopeless).
Many of us know what we would like to do or be, but can't quite grasp the key that holds us back. Often we drift into some familiar pattern or repetition that can be hard to break free from even when we try.
This is where another person's help can be useful in figuring out where to begin. When you know yourself better, you can make choices that feel more like you, let go of repetitive patterns, and reach something new.
Come as you are!
Prior experience: 10 years at HUS Child and Adolescent Psychiatry across multiple departments — acute wards, long-term rehabilitation wards with severely ill adolescents, outpatient clinics, and neuropsychiatry.
The demanding medical rehabilitation I provide is psychotherapy organized by Kela.
Available spots and waiting times: Inquire about available spots. No waiting list to begin treatment.
Premises accessibility: The practice is located on the 3rd floor of an apartment building without an elevator. The premises therefore do not meet all accessibility requirements. The building entrance can be reached by car or accessible taxi. Access to the 3rd floor practice is via stairs (with assistance if needed). Inside the practice, barrier-free movement is possible, independently or with assistance using personal mobility aids. If needed, I can also come downstairs and help.
